Sail the North Shore provides safe, hands-on-fun for all ages. You can hop aboard a day racing sailboat, a comfortable yacht, or a relaxing deck boat.

If you have the dexterity to get on and off a boat, you will enjoy your experience with Captain Siri. She will bring you out onto Lake Superior or bring a boat to meet you at one of the pristine glacial freshwater lakes around Grand Marais. This will be an experience you will remember fondly. ​

Preparing for your Adventure

The most important way to prepare for your outing is to wear the right gear. The lake cools the air above it, so you want to dress for ten to twenty degrees colder than the air on shore!

 

Weather changes swiftly in Grand Marais, so expect the possibility of a brief rain shower and, of course, wind!

Liability Release For Boat Outing

There is some risk in doing anything, even sleeping and certainly in diddling your device! By completing this form you are acknowledging that a boat outing has some inherent risks, and you agree to hold harmless Sail the North Shore and Captain Siri Anderson for anything that happens while we are together on your paid boat outing.

Summary

By signing below we acknowledge that we are aware of the inherent risks of any boat outing. The wind, water, weather, and boat can all create dangerous situations that can result in injury, emotions, or even death. We recognize these dangers and release Sail the North Shore and Captain Siri Anderson from responsibility from anything adverse that may happen today. However, for all the good things that happen we will give them full credit.
